Bouldering at Collados Castril Spain offers a wide range of quality bouldering problems on perfect rock in a stunningly beautiful setting.
There is scope for more problems to be added with some potential for some problems in the top grades.
There are 4 main boulders at the site with climbing from gentle slabs through the fierce fingery overhanging walls and groves, interspersed with a few desperate gritstone like slopers and mantle shelfs.
There is generally a bit of a breeze as the site is on a col, and the surrounding scenery
. From Castril follow the road towards Huescar, a couple of Kilometers past Fatima take to road left, continue past the dam at Sam Clemente. Follow the road for a couple more Km's until an obvious broad bend at an open Col. Take the dirt track on the right. Follow for a few hundred meters until a track is encountered on the left. Follow this (on foot(15 mins)if not in a 4 wheel drive(5 mins)) until arriving at the boulders. |
